Choosing the best place to stay while vacationing at the Disneyland Resort in California can be overwhelming. Some of the factors that might be important to you may include price, amenities, or proximity to the Resort, to name a few.
If a location within walking distance to Disneyland is your main criteria, then you'll want to consider either the hotels in the Disneyland Resort or some of the "Good Neighbor" hotels. The hotels in the Disneyland Resort are located on property while some of the "Good Neighbor" hotels are located across the street from the Disneyland Resort.
The hotels in the Disneyland Resort include, "The Disneyland Hotel", "Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa" and "Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel". They are located within a five minute walk to the two theme park entrances and Downtown Disney. In fact, "Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa" has its' own private entrance into Disney's California Adventure Park!
Not all of the "Good Neighbor" hotels are located within a short walking distance from the entrance to the Disneyland theme parks. It can be deceiving when you read the descriptions concerning distances for these hotels. Some descriptions will state that the hotel is "one" or "two" blocks from the entrance to Disneyland, but what a person might not realize is that these blocks are VERY long. So, what are the "Good Neighbor" hotels that are within a 5 - 10 minute walk to the theme park entrances? Here is a list:
